The senator representing the northern senatorial district of Cross River state in the upper legislative chamber, Senator Rose Oko, has urge Nigerians, Cross Riverians and indeed her constituents to reflect on the life and legacy of Jesus Christ and emulate the virtues He displayed whilst He was here on earth as they celebrate Christmas.
In a Christmas message the female lawmaker said, “I bring you good tidings this Yuletide season. Christmas day is a day marked by millions of Christians worldwide to celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ. It is a very symbolic day in our lives which we all set aside to spend with family and loved ones.”
The message further reads, “As the year also ends, let us be thankful to God for sparing our lives and keeping us in good health. We will take the time today to remember and share wonderful moments with our loved ones and friends.
She assured Nigerians, Cross Riverians and people from her senatorial district that she will continue to serve them and ensure their interest are adequately protected.
She said, “l am committed to my people’s happiness, peace and progress and will ensure development and progress of the senatorial district and state.
“l and my team are working round the clock to ensure a better deal for our people.”
